I think everyone loves a cute soft teddy bear. A teddy bear toy is stuffed with soft cotton and has soft, smooth fur. A teddy bear has been entertaining children and adults alike for a long time. Teddy bears are also a very popular gift on Valentine's Day. The toy was named after the former President of United States of America, Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt. Morris Michtom was the creator of the first Teddy bear, which was named so with the permission from the President. The teddy bear toy became a huge success instantly. The appearance of Winnie the Pooh and Corduroy as characters in books shows the popularity of the bear among the public. The majority of teddy bears that are available commercially are manufactured in Asian countries like China and Indonesia. The fur used to make teddy bear are usually synthetic fur. There are few companies those hand-make teddy bears which are unique. There are also teddy bear artists who specialize in the making the toys only from recycled materials Some teddy bear artists specialize in the production of bears made from recycled materials. It has been found that giving a teddy bear to a child stabilizes him when he is affected by a crisis. Nowadays, in the United States of America, teddy bears are given to police, fire and emergency officials for this purpose. Some Teddy bears are very valuable and are termed a collector's item. But don't you already value your teddy much more than just a toy? |

I go through fazes where I like teddy bears, or other stuffed animals and then I don't. When I was really young, of course I loved them .. as any kid would. I find myself collecting them again :P I probably only have 20 of em but it seems like so many and I dunno what to do with them

I loved teddy bears and other stuffed animals as a kid, too. I'd play with them, pet them, and pretend I had an animal hospital or a zoo. ![]() And I absolutely hated dolls. Giving me one as a gift was considered an insult. |

Till I was 12; I never went off to sleep without my stuffed animal. May be it gave me a false sense of not being lonely. I don’t buy or even accept soft toys anymore.

I've never been into the stuffed animals and such, even when I was younger. But my daughters love them. Although they are more interested in monkeys and kitty cats rather than the teddy bears |

I love stuffed animals. I have a collection of Pooh, about 30 of different sizes and looks. Love the yellow color of pooh. Bears, don't like that much.

No matter how old I get, or how mature I think I am, I still find myself in awe of a really cute teddy bear. It's really nice how a teddy bear can hold so many memories or an unfamiliar teddy bear can make you feel so nostalgic.

I love stuff toys. I like receiving stuff toys or teddy bear as a gift. Actually, I have lots of teddy bears here. I love hugging them. My latest teddy bear came from my husband, it was his gift to me last February.
