Default Go Green...!!!

Have been disturbed for some days of how we are exploiting the natural resources.. At this rate our next generation will not have a healthy environment to live.. I am really worried if they will have at least fresh air to breath which has in many part of the world already become a commodity for sale.

I am starting this thread to post suggestions about changes we can make and/or the good practices we are already following in our daily routines to make the planet more greener.

As a first step, you could stop using your car. Instead use public transport system. For nearby places, you could ride your bicycle. This way you, not only will you be saving fuel, you would also be cutting down the carbon emissions!

Stop using incandescent bulb, instead use compact fluorescent lamp (CFL). CFL uses small amount of energy to produce light. You help the environment and you save money.

One of the oldest ways to contribute to being green...recycling all paper products. And I have also been doing all my shopping with my recyclable shopping bags instead of using plastic bags that are given by the stores.

Yeah we always do recycling. Right now our government just announced that each house should segregate biodegradeable and non-biodegradeable stuffs so everyone can recycle and reduce the garbage collection cuz the dumpsite is getting kinda overflowing.

Whenever you are buying home appliances like heaters, refrigerators, dishwashers etc, buy energy star appliances. Not only are they more environment friendly, you will get tax rebate as well, as an incentive!!
