Default Feeding the hungry

Lately, I have bought meals for homeless people quite a few times. There's just no question in my mind, when I see someone who needs a meal, I have to buy it for them. I think it would be rude for me not to. My gma used to get upset with me, because I'd always share my food with homeless people. I didn't realize it at the time, but she was having a hard time with money, it wasn't because she was mean. I just love giving back

What have you done to give back to those in need lately?

I support a foundation that feeds street children. It is better to give than to receive.

I have to admit that I haven't done much lately to give back other than a few small donations. But thank you for sharing your experience, as it encourages me to remember that sharing with others brings us a lot of blessings in return.

Yeah so true, I prefer to give foods to these street children than giving them money. It really feels great to help kids in need.

I think it's important for all of us to remember that needy people are needy all times of the year, not just during the holidays. If I see someone in need, and I have the means the help, I'll do what I can. Life is funny; you could find yourself in need of a stranger's kindness.

Giving food to the street children is better than giving them money. If they are hungry then give them food. But I don't usually do this, we would just go straight to a foundation which can take care of the orphans and we will just donate there.

I am always thinking about the same thing. It's so weird how during the holidays everyone is giving food, toys etc but during the rest of the year, you don't hear about donating as much. It's like.. people need to eat the rest of the year too!

Don't feel bad about not doing much to give back.. it gets really easy to get caught up in our own lives. Plus, we must take care of ourselves before we can take care of others anyway. My grandma just really inspired me to help
