Survey sites have become very popular lately. A lot of people seem to claim that they can make a lot of money with them. Do you have any experience with survey sites?

I have been a member of TONS of survey sites, but never spent enough time on any of them to actually get the amount needed to cash out lol

I tried surveys a long time ago and gave up on them. The ones that do send surveys don't send nearly enough to keep one busy; besides, you first need to fill out a small screening survey to see whether you "qualify." Well, I never qualified, and of course no one paid me for the time spend on the screening survey. I NEVER got to complete one single survey and receive some $$ for it. Waste of time.

Something I remember dealing with that bugged me was the fact that I didn't qualify for most the surveys that were sent my way, and they wouldn't tell me until I was like half way through sometimes. I'm sure there are some that are worth it. Tell us if you find any

I feel they're just a big hoax & a scam :P. I have never been able to complete a survey because of being screening out early. None of the sites I searched have been useful to me. Waste of time. I rather write articles for blogs.

I feel you there. I like ehow.com for article writing. Any other article writing sites that actually pay?

I found out very quickly what a waste of time these survey sites are. They always hook you in with that free $5, but what they don't tell you is that you have to have a minimum of $50 before you can cash out. These companies don't really care about our opinions at all if we don't qualify. Aren't we all consumers in one way or another?

Actually, I've had some success with survey sites. I would skin SurveySavvy and there was one other that I could never qualify for any surveys, but Lightspeed surveys, Harrispoll, and Opinionplace have done very well for me. I'm not going to be able to quit work and take surveys all day, but I make a couple extra bucks a month off of it.

That's pretty cool. How much time do you typically take and how much do you make a month? I'm very interested!

I am no stranger to working for peanuts, but two bucks a month are not worth my time. There are plenty of opportunities to earn far more than that on the Internet.
