Default Dumpster Diving

Has anyone ever did any dumpster diving before? I never have, but it sounds a little fun, and maybe even exciting. I don't mean for food, but for stuff. You know the expression, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." I like making unusual finds.

My first boyfriend used to find things all the time. He didn't actually dumpster dive per say, but we would always find things laying up against the wall next to our apartment trash. We've found desks, chairs, paintings.. it's pretty neat. Too bad people throw things like that away. I personally like to donate if I can

My teenage boys love to do this. They use to go behind the old video store and got tons of poster, dvd cases and even some old movies.

I didn't realize that you can find some treasures in a dumpster, LOL!

I know a guy who would go to a rich neighborhood, collect things they set outside to be picked up by whoever wants them, and then sell these items. They were all usable, in good condition. It helped his family to survive at that time.

Not sure I like the idea of it really. I mean, who knows what else you might find in a dumpster, have any of you ever watched a CSI?

I was just outside the FedEx building and I saw this guy dumpster diving. I've never seen someone so into it before lol. His face was literally in there haha. It was strange. People were walking by and staring at him like crazy!!

There's curb shopping, too. People put all kinds of interesting things out for the trash these days. Back when I lived in an apartment for college, there were always some interesting pieces of furniture just sitting by the trash can. It can be fun if you're into antiques and vintage stuff.

I would not go dumpster diving, because there could be some super nasty stuff in there. However, I do not mind picking something up off the curb, if it is neat or in good condition and easily accessible.

Even if you're not looking for anything, you're bound to find something of interest. When I'm walking, I often find a lot of interesting things just lying on the ground, and I don't have a problem picking them up.

Ah it's really a waste to throw good things away but for the rich people they don't care much about that. Our country is really poor no one has ever picked an item outside that is still useable.
