I don't get why many families are members of this so called "religion". They were once Catholics but now they hate Catholics like they've never been one before. Their religion is pretty weird girls can't wear pants/shorts only long skirts everyday, can't wear girly stuffs like ordinary teens wear, they're prohibited in entering the movie theater so they buy pirated dvds to watch at home, girl's hair will not be trimmed or dyed, go to their church 3 times a week, and they must sing praising songs everytime they eat breakfast and dinner. Geesh this doesn't sound like a human anymore it's more like being in prison.

I agree that there are some born again Christians are pretty out there, but it's religion, and like any other religion, there's bound to be some crazies. As far as some of the things you mentioned about what the girls can and can't do, I have not heard of that. Why can't they go to the movie theater? That's pretty hardcore.

I prefer not being a member of any religion myself. Makes life easier. I could never just join one religion the same way I could never join one political party. My beliefs dip into various beliefs.

Not all born again Christians are like that. In fact, I consider myself one, and I know many others, and they are perfectly normal people. We go to the movies. I wear pants all the time (and would not go to a church that requires women to wear only dresses). I pray before meals, but I don't have to sing a hymn or a song, a simple "Thank you for this food" is enough. I don't know why some people love to put all kinds of unnecessary restrictions on themselves and others. This is what turns Faith into Religion. |

Well they call themselves as born again christians. Some of them tries to recruit me to join their whatever group that is. I so hate them doing some sort of lecturing why catholics are the most sinful religion ever. Everytime they see people they tries to mock our religion and still they call themselves the good samaritans.

It is definitely not right of them to preach anti-catholic. Yes, there are obviously disagreements between denominations like Catholics and Protestants, each one thinks that the other is "wrong" about some aspects of Christian faith, but that's not what we should base our sermons on, especially when talking to people we want to invite to our church. I'd rather talk about God and how He wants people to come to Him.
