As I'm sure many people know, the weather all over North America is experiencing some really cold weather. I heard that arctic air is even expected to reach as far south as Mexico. What are you doing to cope with the cold weather this year?

Yes, they are talking about a big snowfall tonight, with something like 9 inches of snow... And the whole week is supposed to be colder than normal. We don't do anything special to cope, I guess we'll just stay in the house as much as possible. It is well insulated, and we have a gas fireplace to help us feel nice and warm.

Luckily, it hasn't even snowed here in Seattle this year. Last year was absolutely TERRIBLE!! I guess I've been lucky. When it's cold, I don't really go out much.. not like I go out much anymore anyway, but ya..

Here in Kansas we have only got snow once this year and it wasn't as bad as it usually typically will get in terms of height. But it has been super cold and in exchange is about just as bad and we are currently experiencing about -15 to -25 degree weather. It is miserable to walk outside even just for a few minutes to get out to your car because of the wind chill.

Well, I went back to the UK for christmas and new year and it was so cold and snowy. Very pretty, but far too cold for me.

When I got back home I was shocked to see snow on the mountains at the back of our house, that hasn't happened for a very long time.

I read a report last week that said some experts have predicted that we are heading into a mini 20 year ice age. So, what happened to global warming?

In order for us to keep our energy bill as low as possible, we spend a lot of time at the library where the heat is always on full blast. It feels good, and we don't have to have ours on unless we're home.

Cold weather is nothing surprising here in Montreal and we are doing pretty much the same thing as every winter: dress in many layers, wear big tuques, scarves and thermal underwear and of course stay in as much as it is humanly possible

I am in Western NY, so I am use to this weather. We actually didn't even get hit with the snow until after Christmas this year! Last weekend it was like a blizzard here. Couldn't see anything but white outside.

We are all prepared in this area. We have 4 wheel drive vehicles or snow tires, extra blankets and gloves in the cars, and even some snacks.

I'm so glad it hasn't snowed yet. It's just been raining a lot here in Seattle. I don't mind it too much As long as I'm not slipping on ice, I'm good

I'm not used to it at all! I'm in Texas! All this cold is torture, even more so when it rains. I just wish it was a hundred degrees or more like in the summer. I sure do miss that.
