Default Taking the Law into Your Own Hands

Do you think that it's okay to take the law into your own hands? Does it depend on the situation, or is it always wrong no matter what the condition or situation is?

I would say most of the time it is wrong, but I think there are some exceptions. Sometimes we have to stand up for ourselves because the justice system actually favors defendants and if we don't stand up for ourselves, sadly, it's possible that no one will. I am certainly not advocating going out and beating someone because of something they did for you. But you do have to stand up for yourself at the same time.

Except for defending myself and my family, I would not do something that the law would define as a crime, even if I had all kinds of reasons for it. I have had reasons, and I have been tempted, but I think it is wrong.

I'm not saying that I condone violence, either, but there are times when you have to defend yourself and your family to keep them safe. The law can't always protect you.

I completely agree with this. That's why we have guns in the house. If anyone tries to break in, they will be shot on the spot, we're not waiting for the police to arrive - especially since we live in a rather remote area.

Ahahahah..... For selfdefense yes if you feel you're life is at stake. If not I won't do the killing I'm so scared to do that. >.<
