I used to think everything happened for a reason, but now I realize that I believe everything that happens can be positive. Sometimes we just need to find the light at the end of the tunnel and realize that everything we go through makes us stronger in one way or another.

What do you think? Does everything happen for a reason? Are things planned out for us, or are there things along the way that change our destiny?

As a Christian, I believe that God is in control of everything, and so yes, everything happens for a reason. Sometimes - in fact, quite often - the reason is hard to see. We might see it in retrospect, later on. We might not get the answer to the "Why?" question in this world. But if something has taken place, God has allowed it to happen. It's not like He looked away for a second, and oops! - things went out of hand.

Yes, I believe that everything happens for a reason - but nothing is planned in advance for us. I am not religious; though I still believe in God. But the God I believe in doesn't influence my plans or decide what comes next for me. I believe we pave our own roads as we go along and our thoughts shape our reality. That's why we must always keep in mind what we want to accomplish and not what we are lacking at the present.

Could you elaborate a little more? I'm just really curious what you mean.

I feel that everything happens for a reason, too. Even bad things can have positive outcomes later on in life. I think it's just important that we all maintain a good attitude no matter what we're going through.

I think that some kind of good can come out of every situation though I don't think that we're always going to walk around and be happy about whatever that good is.

Things don't happen for any reason. The universe is not that smart.
It is ourselves who see correlations and justify and fit our theories
to the events.
