Default Your goals for 2010

Now that the new year is around the corner, we will all start if off with new resolutions and perhaps in-achieved goals from this year. What are your goals for 2010 and how will you make sure you achieve them?

Perhaps for the first time in many years, I don't have any goals. My goals and plans will be messed up by the birth of my first child in February. So I guess I just hope to survive that and adjust.

Well, congratulations in advance I remember when I was pregnant with my first child - I had set myself the goal of not having a post-partum depression as I was really scared of what was to come, not knowing anything about being a mom...

Thanks ButterflyEs. My problem is that not only I know very little (no siblings, no experience baby sitting, never changed a diaper in my life), it is also the fact that I never wanted children. Being a very responsible person, I want to do my best for this baby, but it is not something I look forward to.

I hate mentioning my goals, because I worry that it will put too much pressure on me and then they won't happen. However, I have been writing down all my ideas/goals in a notebook so I think this year will be different. I want to consistently search for new online writing ideas. I would like to try to write articles and submit them to magazines. I want to continue doing well with my money and I want to (as I have been) stay close to Chris and never push him away like I've done with people in the past. I want to constantly make sure he knows how much I care about him and support him in any way that I can. I want to continue working on my anxiety, depression and OCD and make sure I take time for myself when I need it so I don't become overwhelmed.

I have more, but those are the first that come to mind.

Writing your goals down is very helpful, you can actually see them all at once, put a priority for each one and maybe a timeframe. It does not have to add pressure, we need to be realistic about it, too. We do what we can.

I lost some weight this year, so I can cross that off my list. I think I just want to be more productive next year. That means making more time to do things and not getting distracted by watching reruns of TV shows that I like.
