Procrastination equals to delay, putting off things to a later time. Some of us choose not to do certain tasks in the hopes that they would eventually go away or that we would feel better about doing them at a later time. In reality, neither of them is true. We feel agony, uncertainty or plain anxiety about certain things, but it is important to complete what has to be done nonetheless. In order to avoid procrastination, one of the ways that we can adopt is make ourselves daily lists of things to do for the next day, and upon awakening, start executing the tasks one by one, checking them off as we complete each one. This list should include most importantly the things that we have been putting off for a long while. It is also important that we remind ourselves that the longer we wait, the harder it might become to complete certain tasks, and that it is to our own benefit that we no longer ignore what is on our plate. I have procrastinated on certain occasions and always found that it never got any easier. I have been using the list method for a while now and it is helping me keep focus on everything I have going on in my daily life. What are the ways you use to avoid procrastination? |

I am a list maker. This is how I keep my self from procrastinating. I make a list of what has to be done each day. I make sure that everything is completed on the list by the end of the night. I never transfer things onto the next days list either.

I'm a terrible procrastinator myself, but lately, making a task list every day and every week has been a big help for me. I still find myself putting things off to the last minute, but the list has helped me to manage my time better. If anything, I'm making progress.

I hate procrastinating and try not to do it. One thing I hate doing is making phone calls; I'd rather send 15 emails than pick up the phone, so sometimes I catch myself delaying it. As soon as I catch myself though, I get up and do it. The sooner it's off my back, the better.

| I write everything I need to accomplish down. This way, I don't over-obsess but am still able to remember everything. I can get very OCD with just KNOWING I have things to do, so I have to be careful with that. The sooner I get things done, the better

| There is even a term for that, it is called "Call Reluctance." I'm not sure what causes it. I was very shy as a teen, perhaps this is leftover shyness, LOL. I've made all kinds of calls, business and personal, but it never gets any easier.

Prorcrastination means putting off your works for tomorrow... For A tomorrow which never comes.. I am myself a procrastinator, i put all my works to the last moment.. I tried a lot but i could not help it.. How many ever times i try i cant get things done before hand.. Especially for exams, i study at the last minute.. Only when the deadline approaches i gear up myself for the work..and luckily somehow gets it done.. |
