Remember the days before the boom of social networking sites? I do, and I still feel like those are the best days of the internet. Now, everyone is talking about tweeting or updating their status or whatever. I feel like the internet is just filling up with filler, lots of useless information. Does anyone feel the same way?

I view the Internet as being full of opportunity.

I live overseas and see my family once a year in the flesh. So if it ws not for sites such as Facebook, and forums like this, I would be a very lonely individual.

I don't go to Twitter or Facebook, so I don't feel this way. To me, Internet is a source of valuable information, and income as well. I have a FB page that I don't check or update; once in a while someone sends me a message through it, but that's about it.

I find the internet extremely helpful. Whenever there's something I'm curious about, I search on google, and I've learned a lot in the last year. I really like the whole social network scene, because it helps you keep up with those who you don't have as much contact with and it also helps you promote things, and get yourself out there.

I've met some really cool people (including on this forum) online. It's fascinating to me, being able to communicate with people all over the world.

I will have to disagree with you on this. Internet is an amazing source of information on anything that can come to mind and also a wonderful place to make income. I don't use the social networking sites and frankly, I could care less if they are crowded.

Of course I still love using the internet. That's how I've made my money this year, so it's been so helpful to me. I just can't help but feel that we aren't as productive as we used to be. I have a Facebook account myself, but only because a friend suggested that I get one. I rarely check it. It's great that I can have contact with people, if I need to contact them, but I usually don't. I prefer email or IM.

Well to those who are so clever in using things like this one they find internet as a source of income to some are just some plain library. As far as I can see it Internet has been the source of fun, info, money and others. There's so many things you can do with it not just socializing to others.
