Default Strawberries

Strawberries are the easiest fruit to grow! We planted 6 strawberry plants about 3 yrs ago. They multiply so quickly. For the last 3 days I have picked at least a quart of strawberries a day. They are sooooo sweet too!

Anyone else venture in strawberries?

I always used to go strawberry picking at farms, but never ever thought about growing them at home. It maybe because of the small growing place we had at home, and instead used it mostly for vegetables.

We have a few strawberry plants in our front yard. They
are pretty nice. I am not a big strawberry fan myself
but my wife loves them.

We had a strawberry garden at one time. It was my hubby's...but he would get one set of berries and then he didn't cut the runners like he should so he just ended up with more plants and no more berries for the season. He has since converted the strawberry bed to a rose garden...which I thought was funny because he's a real guy's guy...a contractor, ya know? But he's proud of his roses!!

I love Strawberries, they are my favourite with whipped cream, I could eat them all day, I'd love to be able to grow them but we have lots of local dogs that roam during the day and they would have them all eaten on me, lucky you having so many strawberries.

Would be real interested to know what type of soil you plant them in. Also, what growing environment is best, lots of sun, water tolerance, etc.
Not much of green thumb so the easiest method of caring for them is greatly appreciated.
