Default Did you plant your vegetable garden yet?

Anyone planting veggies this year? I still haven't gotten my veggie garden in! We don't plant much. Usually cucumbers, peppers and a few tomatoes.

What do you plant in your garden?

I have mostly perennials and shrubs in my garden, but come spring time I always have to get a few tomato plants....and sometimes peppers. Gotta have home made salsa, right? I have some potted tomatoes and some herbs and such coming along. I can't wait for the first home grown tomato....I generally have that one right in the garden! LOL!

I decided not to have a vegetable garden this year. Juggling two part time jobs and some freelance content writing, I simply have no time for it. I like having a garden though. We usually plant lettuce, onion, cabbage, tomatoes, bell peppers (my favorite), carrots, and beets. Not this year though.

Yes i am having some kind of vegetables in my garden. I have planned to expand my vegetable garden by the next season. I feel so happy in getting vegetables to my kitchen in my own garden itself.

Yes, my father do planting in our backyard garden. We have lots of veggies there. Do you know what's good if you have your own veggies plant? Well, aside that it could help you saved money, you're also sure that they are fresh and healthy to eat.

I'm with you on that, kyles. Well, before it was only my parents who loved planting veggies. Moreover, I realized its importance, when I started to live in my own house. Who about beautification in our yard? I think this could be one benefits in planting.

I can't plant anything in our garden until the rainy season is over. I'm afraid the daily rain would wash away the seeds.

Finally its sunny again after a couple of weeks of non stop rain. But since it's still officially rainy season here, I still cannot plant anything...hmmm... maybe I could do a bit of tinkering here and there. Our little vegetable garden needs proper attention now, the chili's we planted a couple of months ago are not growing at all!!!

It's been a TERRIBLE year for gardens here in Western NY. Way too much rain and that is turning the leaves yellow and causing blight in the garden.

We planted cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, potatoes, corn, broccoli, onions, radishes, beans, carrots and squash. The broccoli got worms and we pulled it all out. The beans didn't take off, too much rain. The tomatoes aren't red yet! Grrrr

Our tomatoes have finally ripened and we are picking and eating them. We have also picked the green beans 4 times now. Usually by this time we are so sick of them... but it's been a bad year.

We are digging potatoes and onions tonight when I get home from work.

How is your garden growing?

I'm in Florida and have not had much success with my gardening. Ocra and radishes were the only things I could grow well. I tried cabbage, but that didn't work out so well.

Unfortunately, I don't have a garden, but I would really like to plant some vegetables and herbs in pots. I am not quite sure how it will go yet; nevertheless, I will be planting some stuff this week. I hope it's not too late though. I would love have some little tomatoes, fresh parsley, mint and perhaps some cucumbers.

It would be very interesting to have a vegetable garden. I would really enjoy seeing green leafy vegetables, carrots and potatoes in my garden. By the way, does anyone knows what type of veggies would be good in a tropical country?

I've never been much of a gardener. How hard is it to do? Do you have tips that would help me out?
