Has anyone tried planting herbs in pots? I live in an apartment and don't have any garden of my own. I miss my parents' huge orchard and kitchen garden and have planted some herbs like mint, coriander and even a chili plant in a pot I am thinking of growing my own tomatoes now in pots. Has anyone tried it? Any tips?

I haven't tried it myself but I know some people who have. Apparently, it is an amazing experience to just snip the herbs from the pot and mix it in your food. I would also like to give it a try but I am not really sure about the planting seasons and all the rest of the stuff that is required for taking care of them...

Yes, you can plant tomatoes in pots. Just be sure your container is big enough and put something, like a stick to support the body of the plant. And be sure it will have enough sunlight.

Thanks for the tip about the stick to support. I also need to keep it safe from crows once the fruits start coming. Maybe I'll need to put up a net or wire mesh across my balcony. |
