Default Wearing heels for long hours

Im someone who loves to wear heels, but can not wear them for long as my feet start aching like anything, then there comes a point when Im in total pain and just cant walk. The worst part is when you take them off and then put the heels back on, so never do that as the pain will just increase

My solution to this problem just resulted in me to wear heels where I would not have to stand up for long, and otherwise wear moderate height heels with the gel padding!!

High-heeled shoes are great but as you've said...IT CAN BE REALLY PAINFUL AND TIRING if you wear them the whole day at work... so what I do is that I just buy those wedged shoes...they also have the same effect as high heels but they are more comfortable..

Yeh true that wedged shoes are good and more comfortable, but then again it also depends on the outfit your wearing, and personally thinking the way you carry yourself in heels (stilettos) is more elegant i think, than walking in wedged shoes!

yeah you are right. high heeled shoes is still elegant but it is not designed to use for long hours. their are a lot of shoe style to choose in the market. it also depends on the outfit, event and how you carry yourself.

I'm not that tall, and love high heels. Unfortunately I don't wear them anymore, due to the pain. Gel pads can help, but I think the force on the heel of your foot causes pain no matter what because of the pressure.

I am not a high heel person, so I have never worn high heels to the point of pain, but I would say sacrificing your health and well-being is not worth it. If it hurts, find more comfortable shoes. You can still be elegant and stylish.

Gel padding?!?!? Where? I wear heels everyday.. and the pain is getting to me as I get older.... wearing them never used to bother me... but I find that now it's starting too... the balls of my feet will ache for days!

Fortunately, I have never had any problems wearing high heels for extended periods of time. I, however, also make sure that I give my feet and back enough rest throughout the day by sitting down, taking off my shoes and elevating my feet. You can do that at the office while sitting at your desk if your working cubicle's placement allows you.

My mother has always told me to elevate my feet.. and I never listened... now I think I have to.. Why is it that elevating works?

I've never been one to wear heels haha. I mean, I can barely balance walking in them. It's pretty sad!!

But ya, anytime I have worn them (RARE occasion), my feet get really, really sore and it's just annoying haha. I feel your pain

I haven't worn heels before, either. I'm not very tall, but I don't see the need to wear high heels. Did you know that men invented high heels? I'm just glad that flat shoes are really getting a lot of attention these days.

Yes, I believe that women who are always wearing heels are more apt to develop varicose veins later on in life. Heels also throw your body in an unnatural state of balance. Really, they are a man-made contrivance; I don't think any woman in her sane mind would have invented them.

When I was younger I could wear heels all day and had no problems. As I got older, they started to bother my feet. I may wear them to church, but when sitting down, I slip them off to rest my feet.

i used to be able to wear high heels for long period of time. but when i got pregnant, i couldn't wear heels anymore. so when i gave birth, i guess my legs weren't used to the heels so it ached after only a short while. so now, i only wear heels when i know that i wouldn't be walking or standing up a lot.

You've to consider your feet situation, don't punish yourself, look for another alternatives that would greatly suit your outfit. But if it's really need to wear it (heels) think a remedy for the pain.

How high is your heels anyway? As for me, I make sure that I don't wear too high footwear. I guess 2-3 inches would be enough depending on the occasion. Does your work requires high heels?

I am always wearing high heeled shoes, and I can't stand for a long time when I wear it. So what I do is to put them off while working on my table. My boss doesnt see it anyway

I don't like wearing high heeled shoes. I am not comfortable with it. so whenever I wear one, when the occasion calls for it, my leg would be really aching. good thing at work I don't have to wear high heels

My mom who doesn't wear very high heels very often will take her shoes off after a while. She'll tell me that she wanted to get comfortable or that she didn't want to have them on all day. I'll ask her why she wears them, but she won't answer.
