Default Cheap and easy meals

I work full time and really hate having to spend hours at night to cook dinner, does anyone have any cheap and easy meal ideas?

One thing I make when I don't have time to cook is Salisbury steaks. A pack of 6 costs a little over $2 at ALDI's, and they are easy to make - just open the box and stick them in the oven for 50 minutes. As a side dish, I make instant mashed potatoes. The steaks are swimming in gravy, so it makes a great combination. I throw together a quick salad as well.

Hmm, I've never heard of Salisbury Steaks before, I will have to check it out.

Honestly, all I really ever eat are TV Dinners, or those new things called Steamers. You should look for em, they are so good. My favorite one is the broccoli and cheese. They're made by the Green Giant brand

I don't mind TV dinners, but a lot of times, they have too much sodium, so I can't eat them very often. I have the same problem with canned food, but that's sometimes my best meal when I don't want to take too long to make it. Just look for low sodium foods.

How about mac & cheese? It takes some cooking, but not a lot - just boil the noodles and mix in the sauce. And it tastes good, too!

I have made countless boxes of mac n cheese. I miss the days when I could just buy it frozen and eat it after putting it in the microwave. If I try to control the amount of sodium by putting in less cheese, it won't taste as it should.

I'm sure if you exercise, you can treat yourself to mac n cheese from time to time Now that I've started working out, I feel so energized and I don't feel as guilty about eating those things that I know aren't good for me.

You can try making healthy sandwich with precooked meat slices along with cheese & vegetables. Or try salad with meat dishes. They are easy to make & nutritious.

Oh I miss having a box of mac n cheese. I love these stuff, and sadly we don't have that one here I think it's kraft and I miss it so much. The last time we had these when my hubby's auntie sent us a package from california. *sigh*

I feel for you! I'd miss it too if it was suddenly unavailable. One thing you can do is have your aunt send you just the cheese sauce packages, that way she could send much more. You can just buy elbow noodles and use them. Of course, she will end up with lots of noodles without sauce! But it she wants to help out, she'd find use for them.
