We're getting a new grocery store in our area very soon called Aldi. I've never heard of it before, but they seem to be a store with a decent reputation. Does anyone have an Aldi where they live? What has been their experiences with this store?

I've never been there or heard of it, but I looked it up online for you a bit and it looks really nice. It reminds me of Walmart, Target or something like that. It seems like the kind of store that's going to have everything you could possibly need in one place. It's very nice!! It really reminds me of Fred Meyer. I think you'll like it. Tell me what you think when you find out more about it

I hope that they have a grand opening special. At first, I was hoping that Aldi would be a sort of alternative foods grocery store. That would have been so nice. I'm just hoping that they'll have reasonably-priced produce.

We have an Aldi store nearby. It is smaller than Walmart, and they don't have some things Walmart does - for example, they don't carry Italian bread that I love. But they also have things I can't find at Walmart, and some of the prices are better at Aldi. We buy groceries there once in a while.

Aldi's prices are good but the quality is not in my opinion, if I shop there I have to go elsewhere anyway because they often don't have everything I need which cancels out the savings with extra petrol/time.

They are opening right across the street from Tom Thumb who recently lowered many of their prices to stay in business. And right down the street is Kroger. I'm hoping that all the grocery stores in the area will help to keep prices reasonably low for me. I'm not sure when Aldi will be open, but I'll be looking forward to it.

If you don't mind trying generic items, then you will love Aldi. The prices are great! Much cheaper than Walmart and other grocery stores. I go there every week for snacks, cereals, eggs, soups and canned fruits. My kids love the pizza bagels there too. I go to Walmart after Aldi's to get the things that Aldi doesn't carry. You will save alot, but bring bags...they charge you for your bags. You also have to bag your own groceries there.

I love generic items (as long as the food tastes good). So far, we've been getting our snacks from the Dollar Tree. Aldi will be opening next door. I don't mind bagging my own groceries. I actually kind of miss it since the Sack 'n Save in my neighborhood burned down a few years ago.
