When you do your shopping for the week, do you shop according to a menu? I try to do this. I feel it saves me time in the store and cuts out on my impulse shopping.

We shop on a Friday lunchtime when the supermarkets are quieter.

I don't shop with a list, but I do have a prepared menu in my head and buy according to that. We have to shop on a bugdget so we are are allowed one treat each.

This week I bought myself a cheap bottle of red wine. My husband got himself a hunk of blue cheese and my daughter chose a pizza for herself.

That's a good idea, I also don't like shopping with a list because my mind always changes when I'm shopping already.

I shop with a list, but I usually end up picking some items that are not on it as well - something I had not thought of before. We usually buy groceries once a week, on Sundays.

Sometimes I make lists, but most the time, I just go through every aisle in the store and grab things as I see them. I basically eat the same things all the time, so that's all I really need. It may seem like it wastes time, but my dad and I are really fast lol

At my house, we go to grocery store when something is on sale or when we have coupons. We would go every day of the week if we have to. And since the grocery store is within walking distance, it's fine. We don't even shop on impulse unless we have a coupon for it, and it's on sale.

We recently started doing our shopping with a menu to try and cut back on the finances. We have some stuff that has been sitting in our cabinets waiting to be used, so we'll get the stuff we need to use that.

We don't do the menu-centered shopping. It's pretty much the opposite at my house. We look around the house and see what food we have, and we usually use those ingredients in a meal.

I maintain a grocery list which includes materials I normally need to cook normal meals daily. I shop for groceries monthly except for fresh food & milk. It helps me in preparing lunch, dinner & also snacks on demand.
