There is a lot of buzz these days about losing weight and staying trim. We subject ourselves through endless weight loss program, dieting and even swallow a lot of pills to lose weight. We are so busy thinking about losing weight and we fail to pay attention to our health in this process. It is more important to stay fit. Therefore what we should rather aim at is fitness of body. Some of the weight loss programs do not have any scientific bearing. They blindly recommend reducing the number of calories we take in. They do not recommend any balanced diet. In an effort to lose weight we should not starve ourselves. When we starve ourselves our organs and our cells will face damage. Our skin will lose its healthy looks and we will use a lot of cosmetics to restore our skin’s health, which will aggravate the condition further because they have harsh chemicals. To save yourself from all such trouble, make sure that you are on a healthy diet. Whatever diet program you are following, you must ensure that you get holistic food. Your fitness should be priority. Once you cause damage to your body, it takes a long time to restore your general health. It is totally unnecessary to subject yourself through these problems. If you want to stay fit, try to develop healthy food habits. Have strict meal timings and be faithful those timings. Never consume more than what you need. Develop good sleeping habits. Staying awake for long hours at night can affect your overall well-being. You can do it occasionally but it should not become your regular habit. Try to remain active through out the day. If you want to take a nap during the day, keep it short. Never let your naps extend beyond 30 to 40 minutes. If you sleep too much you will start developing puffy eyes. Try to resist the temptation to nibble on something all the time. If you get bored try to distract your mind on some active work. Many of us have the bad habit of opening a chips packet when we are bored or open a bar of chocolate. Avoid caffeinated drinks, rather take fresh fruit juice and if you cannot then pure clean water is best to quench your thirst. When you need to go for shopping try and walk if it is walkable distance. Resist the temptation to go by your two-wheeler or car to close by shops. These are simple measures that you can take to stay fit. Along with these try to have regular exercise program without straining yourself. Practicing yoga regularly also helps you keep fit in both mind and body. When you are exercising never over do it in an effort to reduce weight fast. Moderation is the key to fitness whether it is food, diet, or exercise. It should neither be too much nor be too little. |

Thanks for sharing wonderful tips harpreet. but now a days life has become so fast that there is not time left for ourselves. So i think the importance of staying fit has increased multiple times then what it was decade ago.

Actually i'm one of those trying to loose weight but can't any tips, i really would like to thank you very much dear Harpreet for your nice tips, i'll really follow them in my daily life.

Hello, Great tips, thanks for sharing it, people are so obsessed with perfect figure that they blindly follow any tips just to reduce some weight without realizing how it will effect their health, our main concern should be our health and fitness not the perfect figure. Regards, sarah_9 |

thank you for those tips. I think I am guilty of not staying fit. When taking a nap during the day, when I have a chance, it last for about 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon. I think I have to change that habit. |

Hello Harpreet, Thanks for sharing fitness tips.. I agree whatever you said is very true...Many of us forget about nutriton in the race of becoming slim... But these dieting and swallowing pills can cause serious problems..we don't have any idea that how much especially pills harms our important body parts...like heart, liver, kidney.... I always prefer doing exercise than dieting...but exercise should be under a good trainer,otherwise it may also harm ..or do it only if you know you are doing right... ![]() Regards, Nelson |

| I've really found that doing simple things makes a huge difference. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.. that kinda thing |
