Fitness does not necessary mean doing an hour of vigorous exercise, or sweating yourself out, but can simply mean doing something which will burn some calories and get your body moving. I personally dont like sweating out which is why I love walking, and generally if i have the time make a habit of walking at least 30mins a day to keep myself fit. It makes a great change in you, and you feel fit not from the outside but from the inside too. Which is what fitness is about feeling good from the inside as well as from the outside. |

I know exactly what you mean. Walking may seem like a soft exercise at first, but it has a lot of good results. When you're walking, it's easier to maintain a constant speed, and you can do what feels the most comfortable for your body. Your heart really benefits from constant walking.

I agree. Walking also tones the calf and thigh muscles in the long term. I love it because vigorous exercise has never been one of my interests.

| Walking is the easiest way to work out for me. (Other than swimming.. swimming rocks). It's just getting started that's the hard part ![]()

Walking is great because you don't really have to work very hard at it. Walking already comes natural to us. We just have to train ourselves to be able to endure walking long distances.
