Default have you heard of men 's fertility rate?

recent study in europe is that even men have their fertility rate...yes, men in their 40s are believed to be less able to conceive ...just like women 's fertility rate is believed to drop after 35 years of age...

what do you think? it is always the woemn that society looks upon for fertility rate etc especially the Asian women. Good to knwo that men are not free either!

Of course men have their own set of fertility issues. In India
they usually blame the wife and try to get the guy married again
(usually to the wife's sister), this is despicable.

Men can have low sperm count, decreased motility of sperm.
This can be affected in short term by alcohol use or excessive
heat (like sitting on a sauna) or wearing too tight underwear.

If you are trying to get pregnant ask your husband to wear loose
boxer shorts, don't have him take long hot showers and
don't visit the sauna or steam room.

ha ha ha...but, the society especially the Eastern one does not focus on them...it is the women who become target...

so, this sort of scientific research helps to open some people 's eyes(hopefully!)

Males or females, the fertility rate drops after 35. While in women, the drop is sharper (they come into puberty much earlier also), in the guys the drop rate is more gradual.

Women have menopause around 45 and after that they cannot conceive any more. This has been designed by nature becuase it is no more safe for the mother (to-be) and the child (to-be) at that age.

Basically, nature did not design the humans to live beyond 60 or so. Our science and social life (the protection that is provided by being social), that has elongated our life span.

Yes what kix said is correct.

The only difference between male & female in this category is
Females stop at one fine day but males dont, even though the sperm count, motility decreases and abnormal sperm count increases still there is not END. As we all know only 1 sperm is needed among 3 million (at once ) to fertilize an EGG so if she is lucky then might get that 1 sperm even when male may be 100 yrs old (was 100 too much ? )

The 100 year old man might have just one sperm left
but the delivery mechanism might not be operational ;-)

Do men have puberty stage as well? When do you reach that?40?

Common age of menopause is somewhere around late 40s to early 50s...varies from one woman to another...how do you know that it is not safe as designed by nature? Nature is a volume of which God is the author....

with such advancements in science, it is possible for a 100 year old woman to conceive(if she still has the energy!)...so, maybe the 100 year old man can donate his sperm to her!

Yes, thats true, that the motility rate of the man also become old as they grow. The sperm count will also be reduced, so there are chances for not getting pregnant.

Still many people thing fertility as women's problem, but if we under gone medical test 50% infertility problem with men only. So couples if not pregnant both have to go for medical check up and analyze the problem.
