Yes hypothyroidism can cause problems in getting pregnant, its one of the factors which causes infertility. But it is curable.

Hypothyroidism make problems in getting pregnant and also it may complicate the course of pregnancy. So before concieving one has to correct the thyroid levels if they want to get pregnant because hypothyroidism could make you infertile. Hypothyroidism may be corrected by taking hormonal drugs to moniter the level of thyroid hormone. It is curable. Hypothyroidism may also start while pregnancy so such expecting mothers should be given great care.. At the first trimester itself proper medication should be given or else it is likely to have more problems after delivery to the new born. |
