i am 26 and got married one year back.after married my upcoming month period stopped. i thought that i am pregnent but after many tests for 2 months that came negative, then i rushed to Gyno and she gave some pills and i did wait 2 moths more so totally 4 months i was without period. then i went for FSH test and that came 116 in this age, i retested that still that was 112. Gyno advised me for HRT and she said that this is POF, and also went for infertility test Anty Mullerian Test and that showed low fertility. My Gyno told me that my eggs are finished and i can't be mother ever, however she advised for HRT.when i started HRT i started taking Premarium and Deivary Pills date wise. after one month i got my period back and its now 3 months i am getting my period regularly on 30th day. Now i am totally frustrated like if next month i am going for FSH test and that coming down with HRT then there is any chance of improvement of my fertility?if my FSH Comes normal after HRT what steps shall i take to get normal fertility? shall i repeat the anti mullarion test to check the fertility level? is there any treatment to cure POF and low fertility? is there any hope to get pregnant in future? |

I would also suggest that you get a second opinion, its not always the case that the gyno you go to is always right, see the views from other gynos and then make your decision upon what they say too.

hi Deepa02 I too would suggest another expert opinion it's better to have another consultation before you expose your body to chemicals and hormones . All the best. |

You may have some hormonal imbalance. You need to consult another OB-gynecologist for some advise.

A second opinion is always good but sadly, for many women they do have low fertility even at your young age. Even if you are still having periods, a high FSH can indicate that the eggs you are releasing cannot make a baby. IVF and hyper ovulation is almost always ineffective for women with such high FSH. I am sorry to give bad news and I hope that I am incorrect and a second opinion can bring you some good news. There is one option that has been very successful for women in your situation: Donor eggs. Basically the doctor takes the eggs from another woman, mixes it with your husband's sperm and then implants them into your body. The baby will not match you genetically, but you can still experience motherhood and there are no limits to the love a parent has for a child! |
