Default upward strokes!

Now we have a post on inward strokes... but i think upward strokes are important for the care of your face. An esthetician girlfriend of mine taught me to always rub lotion in upward strokes, exfoliate in upward strokes, and tone in upward strokes... as in from the jawline toward the hairline.

How about a circular stoke? I didn't even know that there are proper strokes for applying lotion or facial wash. That is very interesting. Maybe that is the reason why I feel like my face is sagging.

Yes, upward strokes prevent sagging for a longtime. But I would think that when you get to a certain age, say like 70s or 80s, it probably won't work anymore. But even the smaller gestures such as this one can prolong our youthful looks, no question there. We just need to be mindful when we're doing our daily care routine and it is certainly no sacrifice knowing that these simple movements are beneficial.

I am into circular stroke, if that is the case so I would probably change my style then.

I've heard that you should do everything in an upward motion. Downward motions pull your face skin down and I can see how that would make an effect over time.

when I read instructions of skin care products, usually it is indicated that we do upward motion or some times circular motion. I guess upward motion is good so we can preven sagging. thank you for this information.

I have read that circular motion helps improve blood circulation. That's the reason why it is recommended that we use circular motion while applying moisturizing creams on our body.

I've both heard of the upward and circular strokes and I actually do both. I scrub/wash my face using circular strokes and rinse my face using upward strokes.

I never thought about it before, but that really does make sense. I've seen so many people apply products to their face with downward strokes, and all that's going to do is make their face sag sooner (Not sure how else to word it).. nice advice. Thanks!

I think I have read about this on the internet before. They say that upward strokes help to prevent premature sagging of the skin. I do this as well.
