Default Teeth care

Our teeth are very important to us, as important as our heart. Teeth are meant to last the entire life. To keep them healthy is necessary for us through out our life. Tooth decay, cavities, erosion of tooth enamel, etc are the main problem.

Tooth decay can occur anywhere on the surface of teeth, but is most common on the chewing surfaces of teeth, near the gum and in-between teeth. It is believed that filling of tooth cavities costs more than the costs involved in heart disease.

Carbohydrate foods such as sugars can cause dental decay. Sweets, biscuits, pastries, buns, cakes, sticky breakfast bars, and other similar kinds of food stick in the teeth, providing food for bacteria that live in dental plaque. The bacteria use sugars from residues of carbohydrates to multiply. They also ferment sugary food residues around teeth, producing acids that eats into tooth enamel, causing cavities. The longer the time that residues are in contact with bacteria in teeth, the greater the amount of acid produced.

Saliva has some ability to counteract the effect of the acid produced by bacteria as it contains some minerals that help repair tooth enamel. Foods that do not contain sugar and need to be chewed are useful, stimulating production of saliva. When less saliva is available on very hot days, one should not consume foods containing sugars that stick in the teeth.

Default Teeth care

Have a habit of brushing your teeth two times daily, morning and night.
It is good for teeth and gum.

Our dentist advised us to brush our teeth 3 times a day and use dental floss. We should also visit our dentist every 6th month in order to have it clean and check.

Yeah they say tongue has lots of bacterias too. We should have an all around cavity protection. Hmm just a thought does brushing tongue so much can cause something bad to taste buds?

I don't think it does. I brush my tongue everytime I brush my teeth and I haven't noticed any difference in the way I taste things.

I see, I just thought about it since my hubby brushes his tongue so much and then his taste is way too below the normal standard.

Proper brushing and frequent dental check-up helps to have healthy teeth and prevent from cavities and tooth decay. Brushing two times daily is always good habit.

Cavities suck! So yeah, we should all brush our teeth at least twice a day specially before bedtime or all bacteria will wreck havoc to our teeth while we're sleeping. Using mouthwash (without alcohol) will help in maintaining clean, beautiful teeth.

I was using tooth powder when i was young, some people gave some type of herbal tooth powder which was not well powdered, they made my tooth strong, but spoiled the surface by scratching of the particles in power, any way to make it smooth and polished?
