My top lip has gotten quite dark.. Can anyone give me tips to make it more pinker?

You have a lot to learn, and plus your a man, so its natural you really wouldn't know the truth about half the stuff women ask here!

Lipstick wont really make your lips looks lighter or get rid of the darkness which has appeared, instead using lipstick will make the lip color look odd on the upper lip from the lower lip.

Instead rub lemon on your lips every night (some say its better with honey and some say its better without, the choice is yours), this will help lighten your lips. Also use a spare brush to scrub your lips with some olive oil, or even make a small amount of paste consisting of sugar and vaseline (petroleum jelly).

That might be true that I have a lot to learn, but please don't judge the
knowledge of people by their gender. I am sure I am a veritable
encyclopedia of information, you can test me if you want ;-)

regarding the lipstick comment, I think it is a valid workaround to
mask the darkness atleast temporarily or while socializing.

And what gave you the idea that I asked her to apply lipstick
only to the upper lip ???

Also if we could find the root cause of this problem then we can
provide more input.

Did it suddenly turn dark? was it light before? any change in diet?
Do you smoke? etc. etc.

@punch: no smoking and no change in diet.. It was lighter earlier. Used to have really pink lips.. But now it t0p lip is getting darker? I am confused would it be hereditary..but chance of that too is low

I dont think vaseline could be a good idea.. It would not serve the purpose because it can make your lips dark if it is used constantly..
By the way., why putting vaseline in the morning makes you dark and not at night.????????????

No one applies lipstick to just one lip, and what made you think that I would say that lipstick is only applied to the upper lip!

I think what Neetu meant was that because Zilsha mentioned that her upper lip has got dark, then when applying lipstick the upper lips will have a different color shade to the lower lip! Something which I agree upon.

Ok most makeup artists in Bollywood and Hollywood are men, but that doesnt mean every man is! Its like saying that if men are chefs then every man knows how to cook a perfect posh meal!

I think for some it may seem weird getting replies from men on a womens forum! Especially with your avatar.... (no offense)
