Default Oatmeal as a facial mask

The cheapest and most effective facial mask is made with oatmeal. Process oatmeal to a powder in the blender and mix with skim milk - or with lemon juice if you are tying to get rid of spots. This mixture help moisturize your skin and can be used safely as often as needed.

Thank you Bethoven - I am not an expert but I like to research
As for your question, some masks (even though they have beneficial effects) might cause irritation to skin, all depending on the skin type of course. That might be the reason why your friend has advised you not to use masks more than twice a week.

this sounds like a great all natural way to nourish your skin. I hate putting anything chemically on my skin as it is a porous organ and absorbs anything you put on it. So if you wouldn't eat it, don't put it on your skin!

I have tried this one and I could say that this is really good. You would feel you face softer and smoother. How long would you put the mask on? I was thinking of wearing it all night. Do you think it would be fine?

Oatmeal is a natural ingredient; thus, I don't believe there is anything wrong with leaving it on your face for extended periods. When it eventually dries up it might cause discomfort for your skin though. I use it for half an hour at a time and it works pretty well for me
