Default Eye exercises

Here are some good eye exercises:
  1. Gently tone the muscles of your eyes by pressing two fingers on each side of your head at the temples, while opening and closing your eyes rapidly. Repeat 5 times.
  2. Sit upright with your eyes closed and relaxed. While keeping your eyes closed the whole time, first look down and then look up as far as possible. Repeat 10 times.
  3. Sit upright with your eyes closed and relaxed. Keep your eyes closed while lifting your eyebrows and stretching your eyelids down as far as possible. Keep in this position for 5 counts, relax, and repeat 5 times

Default Eye exercises

Rub your hands together until they feel warm. Close your eyes and cover them lightly with your palms. Avoid applying pressure on your eyeballs. Close your eyes tightly for 3-5 seconds, then open them for 305 seconds this make your eyes relax.

I did' know we could exercise our eyes. Well, this is something I can do wherever I go. Do you think cold water would help relax our eyes?

Great tips! They say that it is also good to sometimes look at color green when your eyes gets tired so that it will feel relaxed.

I have had success in alleviating tired eyes by gently rubbing circles all around my eyes. When using the computer for long periods at work or at home, I always try to take breaks and refocus my eyes on further distances. This helps avoid being locked into the short focus length.

There is one more way to exercise..

Use a pencil or pen which is easily available.

Keep it 20 cm apart from your face.

Focus the pen first.. and slowly change your focus to a distant object like moon or mountain.

Do it in reverse again. This helps in eye focusing and its a good exercise..

I've done it before and for some reason it always gives me a headache. Has anyone else noticed that?

This is a good exercise.. we can avoid maximum eye problems and head ache by practicing this exercise.. Actually this method was recomended by my doctor and it worked well. I use to have some problem in eyes.. i was never able to find the image in 3d. now i can easily spot out hidden images from a 3d picture easily.

Thumbs up

Hold a pencil straight out in front of you an arm's length. Focus both eyes on the tip of the pencil. Slowly bring the pencil in toward your face, keeping your eyes focused on the tip until it touches your nose. now slowly move the pencil back to arm's length, still focusing on the tip. Try to keep the tip in focus at all times. As your eye muscles become stronger, this exercise will become easier.

I tried this exercise and it made me dizzy for some reason. I thought I didn't do it properly the first time around, but when I tried again, it did exactly the same thing. I wonder why.

Gosh! Thanks for sharing these here. Its really a problem for me whenever my eyes feel tired or strained. I tried these few exercises that you gave and I feel better in doing so. Thanks.

I don't think this would be helpful. For all I know this kind of exercise is used only to examine some things on your eye by an eye doctor. And if done repeatedly, it could cause some distress since the eyes vision are distorted and would tend to make us dizzy or those sort.
