I had exophthalmos in 2001 after I had radioactive treatment for hyperthyroidism. It has receded a little, but my eyes still looks bulging and dilated. Does anyone know how to remove the bulging around the eye? It looks like permanent eyebags.

Try to keep adequate moisture in your eyes and avoid dryness . This helps to reduce eye bulging and further complications .

Person affected from exophthalmos can avoid spending more hours with computers. It will give more strain to the eyes and swelling may increase. Always keep cotton dipped in water on hand to have frequent touch up with eyes.

Exophthalmos is a bulging of the eye anteriorly out of the orbit. If left untreated, it can cause the eye lids to fail to close during sleep leading to corneal dryness and damage. It may also lead to blindness.
