Would you ever consider getting the permanent eyeliner? It is like they tatoo eyeliner on your eyes. My friend had it done and it really looks great. One less thing that she has to worry about in the morning before going to work.

I would not do it because tatoos tend to bleed into the skin around it. Also the fashion for how to apply the eyeliner changes. Sometimes you want a thick defined line, sometimes a thin defined line, sometimes a thick smudged line, sometimes the top lid only, sometimes the top and bottom lid.. sometimes the top lid extended beyond the natural line of the lash.. well you get the picture. I just wouldn't want to commit to one application style.

From what I know, even though it is called "permanent," it is not like a regular tattoo that lasts forever. When I checked on getting it done, I was told it is for 3-4 years. Not sure what happens after that - perhaps the color fades and dissolves.

No, never. I've seen people with tattooed eyebrows (not eyeliner) and it looks bad after it fades. Kinda like greenish. So it looks extremely fake.

I guess what stops me (besides my family being horrified of the idea, LOL) is that I have never seen someone who has done this. I'd like to see it right after the procedure and, say, 4 years down the road.

It wouldn't be for me - I like the more natural look and I don't put on eye-liner every day. It might be good idea for women who like to put on make up all the time though. However, I have heard that it only lasts for a few years and it is not really ''permanent'' per se.

I don't think this a good idea, if you want to match your eyeliner with your dress then you are left with no option. And moreover I totally surprised how your friend can have tatoo done on her eyes.

I am one of those who uses eyeliner every day, I like the look it gives me. I only do a thin line, so it looks natural. I often think about how nice it would be to always have that line there, not do it every day and not worry about it going anywhere... But I'm scared to try permanent. |

hi, Permanent eyeliners can create the kind of look that you actually want. Depending on whether you want a softened look, a professional look or a smudgy look, or a look that really flatters your features---the permanent eyeliner can do it all. The best thing about it is that the effect lasts a long time and you are saved all that time and bother in front of the mirror. ______ zen |

I am scared to try it too. I think after 3-4 yrs it starts to fade and you have to have it darkened. I don't leave the house without eyeliner. It helps my eyes look brighter. |

I don't see person with tatoo eyeliner. Even i don't use eyeliner daily. I think natural look is good for my eyes. Sometimes rarely when i went to attend a function i will use. Tatoo eyeliner...... it's interesting.

A friend of mine had a permanent eyeliner tatooed in her lower lids and it looks great. She says it saves her the bother of putting it on every morning and it does not smudge as pencil liners do. I'd like to have it done myself.

The permanent eye liner is actually not an eye liner. It is a micro pigmentation product. MY friend has done this, i think it is slightly painful.

| I've always thought this would be a really cool idea, but I bet it hurts really bad. My ex-boss had it done and she said it wasn't too bad. I dunno. I have an obsession with tats, so I bet you I'll get it one day ![]() |

Tatoo eye liner? i cant even imagine it. It will pain like hell if you do it. And happy with my temporary eye liner. Its pain less and changeable based on my mood and wish. I think permanent one is really very hard to do, but once done.. it will be easy, no need to do eye lining each time.

I wouldn't do it myself. I find that no matter how much I like some fashion or style during a certain period, my tastes eventually change. I wouldn't like to have a certain style of eyeliner application tattooed on my eyes and then one day find that I don't like the look of it anymore but unfortunately, I'm stuck with it.

I have heard about this. People also use permanent lip-liner as well. Though the procedure isn’t painful because numbing creams are applied to areas that are going to be worked on. But one must give a thought on the followings before getting it done Yet, what if the tattoo artist made mistakes and the results are uneven? Or worse, what if the colour doesn’t turn out the way you anticipate? What if new needles are not used and the salon products are not sterile? What about the risks of infections including hepatitis B and C as well as HIV? |

I hear that they use some kind of mild anesthesia when the lines are done, so it is not very painful. It's not like they're going to stick needles under your eyes and you have to bear tha pain. Afterwards, there can be some redness and light scabbing, but no pain, either.

| I'm really curious what it would look like.. I mean, the swelling part. Does anyone know how much it swells and for how long? I bet it would be weird and hard to see for a while

why the hell would someone want to get permanent eyeliner, it only takes a few seconds to apply it on anyway! Getting something done permanently means its kind of irreversible, so I would personally never go for something like this, as it can be done by myself without any problems or hassle!!! |
