I was going to say that tea bags is great for dark circles. Just take the tea bags and set them on your eyes for about 10 minutes a day. Cucumbers also work well for this too.

Great tips ipshika, that is all true. Also try the banana peel, I have read in the net that it is also good for eyebags.

I think you just covered all the things a girl should do to avoid dark circles around the eyes. But I haven't tried any eye products yet.

Mwah! Thank you so much for this. So there are actually some health care products that could be used as a remedy for dark circles. Gosh, I think I should have joined here earlier. :P I'm gonna do everything you said.

By tea bags you mean literal tea bags? Won't that make any effect on our undr eye skin? Like smell or something?

Banana peel? Interesting. How do you use it then?

Thank you so much for posting this! I have had circles under my eyes for years and always just thought it was hereditary. It seems everyone in my family has them..but none of us sleep enough so I think that's why. Can't even tell you how many all nighters I've pulled in the last month. There's just always something better to do lol

I would like to add up one more thing.

Use less brightness in computer screens, try to use a eye protective filter on computer monitor if its a CRT type.

I have really started to notice the dark cicles around my eyes. Some mornings I wake up and look like I have run into someones fist.

It is good to know that I can try and do something about it.

Thanks for the tips.

a tea bag? so is it fine to use a used tea bag? because... after using the tea bag on eyes.. we cannot use it for the tea... But after using the tea bag, we can use it on the eyes.... so tell me is it used one or new one?

haha. that's a good question. I was thinking the same thing.. I think it would be fine to use it after you put it in your tea, but I'm not sure it would be as beneficial because so much of the ingredients have been absorbed into the water and so it would be kinda deluded.. (is that the right word?) hahaha

Thumbs up

There are many reasons for dark circles. Like heredity, lack of sleep, exposure to sunlight, poor nutrition, hormonal imbalance, age etc.....

I would like to mention home remedies in this regard :

Grate cucumber and squeeze fresh juice out of gratings. Dip two cotton balls in it and keep these cotton balls on eyes. This relaxes eyes and relieves tiredness of eyes. This process has been found to be effective when done using potato.

Apply a paste of lemon juice, tomato puree, orange lentil flour (masoor dal ) and turmeric powder (if you are not allergic to it) on under eye dark circles. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off.

Drink plenty of water (more than 15 glasses)

Sleep well at least for 7-8 hrs daily.

Dip two cotton balls in rose water and place them on your eyes, covering dark circles.

Eat fresh fruits, green vegetables which are rich in fiber.

I always use the cucumbers for my eyes. They seem to help keep the skin smooth around the eye area as well, but mostly, they are a great help for the dark circles, as mentioned in your article. The only difference in what I do is, instead of squeezing the juice out of them, I just two slices and place them on my eyes for about 20 minutes.

Wow! That's a very cute question. I think it should be the other way around. Use the tea in drinking then for you eyes.
