For dark circles there are a few basic things you can do to treat/avoid them: - Get enough shut eye. Make sure you catch at least 8 hours of sleep - Avoid late nights - Drinks lots of water and keep your skin hydrated - Use an under eye skin remedy like – almond oil or cream of milk - Some good undereye products are – Kaya’s under eye cream, Biotiques under eye cream - Use tea bags or cucumber slices on your eyes for at least 15 minutes to help with the dark circles |

I was going to say that tea bags is great for dark circles. Just take the tea bags and set them on your eyes for about 10 minutes a day. Cucumbers also work well for this too.

Great tips ipshika, that is all true. Also try the banana peel, I have read in the net that it is also good for eyebags.

Banana peel? Interesting. How do you use it then? Last edited by nakchura; 08-23-2009 at 02:06 PM. Reason: Double post auto merged |

Thank you so much for posting this! I have had circles under my eyes for years and always just thought it was hereditary. It seems everyone in my family has them..but none of us sleep enough so I think that's why. Can't even tell you how many all nighters I've pulled in the last month. There's just always something better to do lol

Use less brightness in computer screens, try to use a eye protective filter on computer monitor if its a CRT type. |

I have really started to notice the dark cicles around my eyes. Some mornings I wake up and look like I have run into someones fist. It is good to know that I can try and do something about it. Thanks for the tips. |

| a tea bag? so is it fine to use a used tea bag? because... after using the tea bag on eyes.. we cannot use it for the tea... But after using the tea bag, we can use it on the eyes.... so tell me is it used one or new one?

| haha. that's a good question. I was thinking the same thing.. I think it would be fine to use it after you put it in your tea, but I'm not sure it would be as beneficial because so much of the ingredients have been absorbed into the water and so it would be kinda deluded.. (is that the right word?) hahaha

There are many reasons for dark circles. Like heredity, lack of sleep, exposure to sunlight, poor nutrition, hormonal imbalance, age etc..... I would like to mention home remedies in this regard : Grate cucumber and squeeze fresh juice out of gratings. Dip two cotton balls in it and keep these cotton balls on eyes. This relaxes eyes and relieves tiredness of eyes. This process has been found to be effective when done using potato. Apply a paste of lemon juice, tomato puree, orange lentil flour (masoor dal ) and turmeric powder (if you are not allergic to it) on under eye dark circles. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off. Drink plenty of water (more than 15 glasses) Sleep well at least for 7-8 hrs daily. Dip two cotton balls in rose water and place them on your eyes, covering dark circles. Eat fresh fruits, green vegetables which are rich in fiber. |
