I can't believe it....I had pink eye last week!

I babysit a little girl whose eyes were always draining gooey stuff. I told her mom that I thought she had pink eye, so her mom took her to the doctor. He said that it was just drainage from a cold coming out of her eyes.

I highly doubt it, since both the mother and I got pink eye.

It was horrible! My eyes were red and itchy.

Has anyone ever gotten pink eye?

Oh that's cute but if that's bad forget it. I never had a pink eye in my entire life. I only had red because I had some sore eyes. Some said it's contagious.

Pink eye is nothing but any inflammation of the eye, as you said you got it from a baby it is contagious & may be conjunctivitis, consult an ophthalmologist & get treated, otherwise it'll be spreaded to everyone near you.

when consult a doc and use eye drops ...or else it wil spread to others also....and the eye drops will gv some relief too...

yeah me too, i never got pink eye, only red eyes because it sores. when you experience it you should not do anything on it you should consult doctor right away. but some friends of mine uses everyday the eye drops to cleanse which is over the counter in the drug stores. is it okay to use even without the doctors suggestion or order?

Well, I did get drops for my eyes. It took about 1 full week for my eyes to finally clear up. It was horrible! I hope to never experience it again.

definitely go see a doctor as there are two different drops for two different problems many people think is pink eye. Also pink eye is very contagious but some people especially contact lens wearers can get infections that look like pink eye but arent!

What is a pink eye? I've never heard of that before.

Pink eye is conjunctivitis, right? I had it when I was in highschool. My monther gave me this medicated drops. It went away in 2 days.

OMG I haven't had pink eye in FOREVER. It is definitely not fun. I thought only children got it. Hmm..

I guess what you have got is a communicable disease.. its actually a air borne communicable infections.. caused by some kind of microbes.. they actually jump from eye to eye and spread it. They don't have any serious effects, your eyes will be fine next day. wearing glasses will prevent spreading.

yes.. you are right.. it may be what you are thinking.. different people name this infection in different names.. in my place people call it as madras eye infection. Once this happen, the infected person must wear a closed glass to avoid spreading......
