Default 3 Hours of Exercise a day

I am wanting to lose weight and I am very over weight and in fact obese! I am soon to be married in 2 months time and therefore need to lose a lot of weight. Although being obese i have a lot of stamina in me and can workout for a long time, so if i do exercise for 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day, which will consist of walking, going to the gym and cycling.
I will cut down on my eating and be eating oats in the morning, fruits in the afternoon and for dinner will have either soup or some lentils, vegetables and salad.

How much can I lose in a month?

I think that will entirely depend on your metabolism. However, three hours of exercise is a little too much I believe. If you really enjoy it, you might be able to keep doing that for a while. But, if you are doing it just for losing the weight, you might get bored and not want to exercise at all within two weeks of starting out. Sensible eating and about an hour of exercise can still help you lose weight and don't forget, as you gain muscle tissue, you might feel as though you are gaining weight. Muscle tissue weighs more than fat - therefore, you need to measure your body instead of weighing yourself on the scale and see how your clothes feel when you put them on

Well ButterflyEs my metabolism is ok, and when i do start losing weight i lose it quite quick. I don't get bored of exercise and know that I have to lose it then I will carry on! And I always ensure that when i do lots of exercise i have lots of nutritious and healthy food, along with vitamin tablets.

determine with the help of your physician how much weight has to be reduced.

try to determine the type of physical activity that suits your life style.
Regular exercise like brisk walking, jogging or swimming, is a key factor in achieving permanent weight loss and improving health

health experts recommend exercising 30 minutes or more on all days of the week for maximum benefits. the exercises should be moderately vigorous to be most effective but not exhausting.

exercises also improve sense of well being ,decreases stress and decreases appetite in some

Thumbs up 3 hours exercise

You have to consult a dietitian in order to cut down on calories you are taking. About your exercise of 3 hours, I guess that is too much, you might overwork your muscles and will lead to muscle fatigue.

When doing exercise especially in the gym, you need to have a professional trainer to guide you on what exercise you must do. I suggest you do cardio-vascular exercises too lose weight fast.

But don't forget your diet, you need to cut down on calories, avoid sweets.

Please keep in mind that losing weight is much easier than staying at your desired weight. So it is more advisable to choose a moderate program which doesn't change your daily schedules too much, at least which you feel comfortable with, so that you can do the programs for a long term to lose weight and not gain it back.

Gosh 3 hours worth of exercise is way too much. I'd rather have some threadmills or other slimming items used for workouts. Some said you don't need to spend hours for a daily workout.

I guess if you enjoy it, you can go ahead and exercise as much as you wish. I am not saying that everyone is the same; however, I have known people who have started with long hours of exercise for three or four days a week. They kept it up for a couple of weeks and they crashed afterwords. As I mentioned, I am not saying this is what will happen with you but moderation is always good in everything. Best of success to you.

That may be a good way to reduce fats but I think its good for once or twice a week. Many people doesn't have a big spare time to do some long exercise.

3 hours is too much, unless you are an olympic class athlete,
that's a lot of stress on your joints. you'll probably burn away
muscle by overexercising.

I think, 2-3 hours of exercise is more than enough to lose weight. Of course, you have also to watch your diet. Did you tried brisk walking every afternoon? I guess, it could also effective.

Well, you have a goal, a time frame, and motivation. About the three hours a day, that does seem much, but then again, you're a woman with a mission and athletes exercise that much before a tournament or a fight. But as has been mentioned, be sure not to hurt yourself in your attempt to be beautiful and fit for that momentous occasion. Getting the advice of a professional - at least in terms of getting a daily exercise regimen - would be a good idea.

Yeah I don't think I could endure a long exercise everyday. As much as possible I would try to look for some easy way to reducing weight without getting my bones break.

One thing I would say is that 3 hours of exercise per day could be over doing it a little, especially if you have not exercised in a while.

You need to take things slowly so as not to do yourself any harm. Drink water when you feel hungry to stop you snacking.

That is alot of exercising! If you ever watch The Biggest Looser, you know that with excess exercise and diet you can loose alot of weight in a little time period. The only thing I would consider is it realistic? Will you be able to continue exercising that much after the wedding? Do something that you can keep in your daily routine.

3 hours? I think that's way too much!

I am looking to lose 20 pounds in about 1 1/2 months. My game plan is to eat veggies all the way. And to exercise about an hour a day.

I think 3 hours is too much, too. It'll be hard to maintain a healthy body weight if you exercise a lot and lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time. It'll be likely that you will gain it all back and then some.

I used to spend 3 hours a day on a treadmill, I wouldn't say it is too much unless you are pushing yourself to exhaustion. I never did; I slowed down when I felt I was getting tired, and increased speed / resistance when I felt I could work a bit harder. I was already in a good shape, so I didn't lose a lot of weight, but I did lose some.

Thumbs up Hi

It's good that you are passionate to reduce your weight. But dear it's your body. 3 hours are really much more. you should go by the expert's opinion. You can join a gym and tell the instructor about your aim. He/She will guide you about dos and don't s. Proper guidance is very essential for everybody. But in your case you have 2 months time so do everything under proper guidance.
