Default Starting to Jog

I have been walking the track every week while my daughter practices basketball. I think that tonight I am going to try to jog it! I have never had much success jogging, but I wonder if I start out slowly it will be different.

Any suggestions?

Definitely start out slow and don't get discouraged if you have to take a few breaks. The more you do it, the easier it will become. Good luck!

A good way to do it is to jog for a little while, then walk for a little while, jog again then walk again. That way you are not going to exhaust yourself all in one go. Eventually you can build yourself up to running the whole track effortlessly.

Good Luck!

Not worth the effort , thought you will burn more calories compared to walking it comes at a price : bad knees and saggy breasts

I already have bad knees, but was told if I start jogging it will help with my knees. After 4 kids, there is no perkyness left to the breasts

Default jogging in morning

I think jogging in morning hours is more beneficial for the youngsters as well as for all age groups.

Actually all kinds of run is the considerable load on the organism. That is why it is very important to load the organism gradually. It will help you to avoid the possible traumas.

Instead of jogging you can just walk a mile more and burn more calories..

otherwise, You end up running less miles, getting more tired and burning lesser calories..

That's a great point. Like I was saying, take your time with it. Give yourself breaks and push yourself when you can.. not too far, but you know your limits..
