Seems to me that you can't really control him, he is going to have to decide to lose weight on his own. Of course, you can cook healthy meals with vegetables and all, but he might still go pig out on cake afterwards.

He doesn't happen to be a beer drinker, does he? That's a big cause of big stomachs in men. If he does drink beer, maybe you could convince him to drink light beer? You could start cooking lighter meals, too.

Alas, there is nothing you can do except stating over and over again that you are not happy with the situation - which will probably be classified as "nagging" and ignored.

We can't change another person's mind for them.

I am going to go on a limb and guess that there is already
a considerable amount of nagging on Sapna's part ;-)
based on her posts in WF.

Well, perhaps so, and it is hard to blame her, although we all know that nagging does not work. In a situation like this, the choice is very limited: A) Keep mentioning it (most likely with no results), or B) Shut up and put up.

Oh you don't have to worry since he's 37 already mine is just 27 and having a big tummy is also none of his concern. >.< Geez as much as I hate to see him like that I can't discipline him into eating a lot and drinking beer. He's sooooo stubborn.

There's going to be a point where you just let it go and stop caring. I'm sure that if he continues with this, he'll end up at the doctor's office one day, and the doctor will tell him that he needs to lose weight.
