Default Walking or Running

Out of both running and walking which is better for exercise or health. I have heard many people say different things about both but don't know for sure whats true and what isnt?

Well, I don't know for sure which is better, but you'll burn fat quicker with running, but I've heard that it is hard on the bones and ankles. With walking, you'll just have to walk more to equal the amount of calories burned with a shorter time of running.

Walking is best, I think. Because you won't get tired easily. While in running you will not even notice that you are burning your calories.

If you don't want to be tired then, walking would be good for you. If I were to choose between the two, I would refer running. It feels better to run than walk. Why not try both of it? I think that would be the best choice.

I believe you can benefit from both equally. Some people feel more comfortable going for walks rather than running. I am one of those people. However, I believe running is more effective, as you consume more energy and move your muscles more as well.

Thumbs up

Any exercise has its own benefits. Walking is better as it's easy to do rather than running. For running you need to go some particular place and particular time is also required. But you can walk anywhere and anytime. Gandhi Ji also prefer walking. Because I also don't find time for running so I walk a lot. Otherwise running has more benefits. As it needs extra efforts so it gives you extra benefits.

I would prefer to run than to walk. I feel lighter and more energize when I run. It is more exciting too. I could run for about two hours. How about you guys?

I'm just not very good at running. I prefer to walk, because you don't get as tired and you can get farther. I used to run when I was younger.. pretty much all the time, but then I just got older and lazier I guess. I'm really trying to work out more.. even just a simple walk to keep my blood pumping

i can say that for younger peoples, running would be the good exercise, it can bring out total coordination of all the parts of the body in a perfect way, and makes you fit. but walking can be for old peoples, who cannot run.

Both are a great form of exercise. I know that some people have a hard time running. It is harder on the knees and feet. Therefore, in my opinion walking would be just as good as running.

I like to do both. Recently, I enjoy running than walking. It feels good when your heart pumps fast and your body works a lot. We are young so we could try all forms of exercises. Where do you usually exercise?

I find the best thing to do is right in the middle. Not running, not walking, but a very fast paced walk. It really gets your heart pumping and your blood flowing

I don't know which one is better since it depends on how long you're doing either. I personally prefer to walk since I can maintain a certain speed longer than with running which would tire me out after a while.
