Default WiFi at McDonalds

I am sooo excited that WiFi FINALLY works at McDonalds. They advertised it before, but I think you had to pay or something like that. I hope soon everywhere will have free WiFi, that would be amazing!!!

In London McDonald has Wifi service since 2007-08. Although I use wifi only at star bucks. I'm not sure whether McDonald provides wifi for free as yet.

Well wifi here at McDonald's always for free I guess it was already on since 2009. I remember scanning the internet with my PSP. It's kinda hard using it but at least it works.

Here in the US, they are just starting the free service. McD's used to have wifi, but you had to pay for the connection = lots of lost customers, like my husband and me, who'd rather go to Panera Bread. It seems that McD's has figured it out at last!

I'm glad to hear that, too. I don't go to McDonald's very often, and it's a very long walk from where I lived, so I didn't go to there for the free wifi. If I live closer there, I may consider going.

Is their wifi really fast? I don't know anything about the wifi over at McDonald's, but if it's anything like the wifi at Starbucks, I'll probably be using it very soon. Can multiple users stream things, too?

We have had free wifi here at McD's for a long time. It is really great because I can take my daughter and her friend for lunch and then while they play on the playland, I can get online and surf.

Code:
high-speed Internet access is up to 50 times faster than standard dial-up service. Data-transfer rates are up to 11 Mbps for wireless access, however, they also depend upon on the underlying transport rate. With Wayport, a typical 20 Mb download takes less than 2 minutes, whereas the same download would take between 47 minutes and one-and-a-half hours with a standard dial-up connection.
I hope they keep up to the standards. Has anyone tried using Wifi at mcD?

I'm not quite sure about that, since their wifi zone is kinda in the open part of the store and also the signal is not strong enough to accommodate many users. Well I guess that's only at our place, our city still has a long way to go when it comes to internet speed cuz right now we still have the lowest speed ever.
