Default Borat

How many of you have watched Borat: Cultural Learning of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan?

Or Rather I should be asking how many of you watched it and liked it. It’s a movie written produced and starred in by the British comedian Sacha Baron cohen. Borat the protagonist sets out from his country Kazakhstan to US and A. The movie though it received wide spread critical acclaim and box office success and even many Golden globe and academy awards is banned in many countries citing nude footage, anti Semitic and racist views, sexism and homophobic ideas. The movie ends with a fictitious Kazakhstan national anthem sung to the tune of “the star spangled banner”

The movie is a satire or a mockumentary. Most of the ‘actors’ depicted in the movie are not actors but real people going on about their day to day lives who come across Borat and fall prey to his antics. Many of them who felt insulted hurt and embarrassed have filed lawsuits against the movie makers.
Though widely perceived to be an Anti Kazakhstan movie; the movie has strong though layered and subtle anti American strains running through it. Though at times very provocative the movie makes you laugh with its extremely non political lead characters who end up eliciting very non political.

Despite all its provocative content it might end up being a collector’s item … it is definitely a movie to watch and judge for yourself.

This movie was pretty funny. I liked it more than Bruno for sure. My grandma didn't like it too much haha. She watches some weird movies with my family and I

I did have good laugh while watching the movie even though I felt like puking in between. Sacha Baron cohen was funny but the fat guy who accompanied him to US the A was funnier.

Aw sometimes I don't think Borat is funnier than Mr. Bean. He's somewhat OA on the movie and the part where he kissed his sister that freaks me out lolz.

Me either I just can't stand his humor also his accent. I hate it when my husband keeps copying borat's voice saying "very nice" it annoys me.
