Vaginal bleeding can occur frequently in the first trimester of pregnancy and may not be a sign of problems. But bleeding that occurs in the second and third trimester of pregnancy can often be a sign of a possible complication. Bleeding can be caused by a number of reasons. Some basic things to know about bleeding are: * If you are bleeding, you should always wear a pad or panty liner so that you can monitor how much you are bleeding and what type of bleeding you are experiencing. * You should never wear a tampon or introduce anything else into the vaginal area such as douche or sexual intercourse if you are currently experiencing bleeding. * If you are also experiencing any of the other symptoms mentioned below in connection with a possible complication, you should contact your health care provider immediately. |

If bleeding ever does occur, the most important thing is to go to your gyno asap, because you dont know what the cause of the bleeding maybe and you dont want to have any complications. At least when visiting the gyno you will know if there is a problem, and if there is get treatment for it.

True! To be safest, whether bleeding would occur during the first, second or third trimester, the pregnant woman should immediately 'run' to her doctor and get the proper medical advice and attention. Better be wary than be sorry!

During pregnancy, you should check your underwear for spotting rather frequently. Spotting very early in the pregnancy can be an indicator of "implantation" or it can be a sign that something is going wrong. Always keep your doctor informed.

My doctor told me that spotting was perfectly normal, as long as it quickly stops and there is no severe pain / heavy discharge. She said that everything is so filled with blood "down there," and there are all kinds of reasons for some harmless spotting.

Spotting is very normal for most women's during pregnancy. But if having more bleeding immediately you have to consult a gynecologist.

Bleeding anytime during pregnancy should not be taken lightly. Once you experience bleeding, consult your gynecologist immediately. Do not delay for your safety as well as the baby's.

Some light bleeding can take place around the time when your period would have started; this is also normal, as long as it is light, painless, and quickly stops. Some pain, on the other hand, is also normal during pregnancy, as the ligaments are stretching. However bleeding and pain combined are definitely a reason to call your doctor or go to the hospital. |
