Default What does it feel like?

I've been around my mom during a few pregnancies and I'm not sure if she was overreacting and just trying to get attention by telling me how crappy she felt. So, I wanted to ask those of you that have been through pregnancy, what does it feel like?

In my case, there was major tiredness during the first three months - I wanted to sleep all the time. I could not eat much, either, just wasn't hungry, and no food looked appealing. I did not feel bad or sick though. Then sometime in the middle of month 4 it all went back to normal. I am feeling perfectly normal now that I'm starting the 7th month.

I hear that some women have it really bad. They feel sick, sometimes throughout the pregnancy. Today I heard about a lady who kept throwing up to the day of delivery.

I only felt a little stressed out towards the end of my pregnancies but overall it felt absolutely wonderful. What I enjoyed the best was feeling my babies kick when I would lay down. I had no morning sicknesses nor any complications, so I can say that both my pregnancies were a breeze

I think that will be really comforting to other women who are curious, hearing what both of you had to say. I'm learning more and more that morning sickness doesn't always happen. It's funny how in movies and on tv they always having morning sickness lol. I guess it makes things more dramatic.

From what I'm reading, it's pretty much a different experience for every woman. How different is the feeling of pregnancy from the feeling of menstruation in terms of sickness and nausea? I wonder if the pain that woman feels during her period can be any kind of indication of the kind of pain she'll feel during pregnancy?

That's a really interesting thought.

Another thing that has been overdone in movies is the woman fainting, or feeling dizzy to the point she can't be up on her feet. They make it look like some major pregnancy symptom, LOL. In reality, it might happen but it is very rare.

I so wish morning sickness wasn't real. I had it badly with my first pregnancy, but once it was over with I was fine to go out to work everyday right up until my 9th month. My first was exciting and new and a beautiful thing, but my second pregnancy was a whole different story. I suffered with depression during and after the pregnancy, I had cravings for all the wrong foods, I was an emotional wreck and life just seemed to go on hold.

After that experience I have decided that two children were enough for me.

When you're in your first few months of pregnancy (before you're showing), is it sometimes easy to forget that you're pregnant? Do you have to stop and remind yourself that you have a child inside of you?
