Yes, I used to crave Tim Horton's English Toffee Cappuccino everyday and my poor spouse had to go and get it for me at all hours of the day and night. It is strange that we crave the weirdest things sometimes but apparently it is normal during the early pregnancy.

I did not experience any cravings, on the contrary, I had pretty much lost my appetite and did not want anything. All my favorite foods, favorite restaurants had suddenly lost their appeal.

Yes, I have experienced it too. Also the unusual cravings! It is normal for the pregnant to crave for some foods. They say that it is the result of homonal changes.

I've heard that this happens quite often during pregnancy. You hate certain food or beverages and suddenly you crave them. But apparently, once you give birth, you no longer touch that stuff again. I've never experienced it; though I find it pretty fascinating.

Me too.. it just seems soooo weird that one day you'd eat something that is disgusting to you and then once you have the baby, it's like you never ate it. My mom has always been that way. I'm always like "don't you HATE those"... she's like "not while im pregnant" lol.

I wonder if anyone has ever craved something they're allergic to while pregnant.. now THAT would be weird!!!

With my first pregnancy it was carrots and oranges, but with my second I craved everything that was bad for you; Chocolate cake, Vanilla ice cream, crisps, cheese.

Does anyone know what actually causes these cravings? I mean, is it the kid themselves? Does the things you crave tell you what the kid will most likely crave when born??

some cravings are caused by your bodies need for some specific nutrients while pregnant ..
others seem to have no reason whatsoever

And no the cravings have nothing to do with what the baby wants
