Default Do not ignore itching during pregnancy.

Are you suffering from severe itching during pregnancy? You should not avoid it, concern to your doctor and go for LFT (lever function test). Might be your STPG and STOG is high and this may cause to death of baby.

This is very useful information. But may I just ask which part of the body does this itching occur? Because from what I know itching on the stomach portion is usually normal due to the enlargement of the tummy and the skin being stretched.

Yes itching can be a bad sign however itching is part of pregnancy too, there is an itching that happens that is not dangerous but it is wise like you say to get it checked out, I use to draw blood from scratching.

Sometimes if you take iron pills during pregnancy it may have itching for someperson. So itching is very normal during pregnancy. But if you have severe itching you go and consult a doctor.

Itching is common during pregnancy as there will be stretching of the skin, but it's better to consult the doctor regarding this. If at all you can't bear the itchng, don't scratch the area hardly because the scratch mark will remain after delivery & gives bad appearance to the body, so apply moisturisers when you feel like scratching and rub slowly.

Applying moisturizer or lotion would be helpful. Was the hair of the child causing the itchiness as well? I wonder, what particular month of pregnancy would you experience the itching?

it also soothes the itch when you apply some warm compress to the tummy area. i dip a hand towel in some warm water and lightly rub it over my tummy to relieve the itch. it helps.
