Default How To Eat Healthy

I was hoping someone would have some advice for me. I feel like the more I try to eat better, the more I give into the temptation to eat things that I know I shouldn't. My friends are always teasing me, saying I have nothing to worry about because I'm so skinny, but I just want to eat better so that by the time I am older and need to watch what I eat more, it won't be such a huge shocker for me and my body.

I'm always craving things that are just SO bad for me. Starbucks, M&Ms, and the biggest one lately has become waffles with whip cream. I swear, I could put whip cream on anything lately. I just have such a sweet tooth!

I've really tried to find ways to bring healthy things into a recipe with the sugars and fun items, but I always end up feeling guilty because I know I've over-eaten.

I just feel very tired most of the time and don't exercise very much, because I just feel so lazy.

Can anyone relate? Or, if anyone found a way to get past the stage I'm currently in, that would be great!

Default How To Eat Healthy

Eating balanced diet will help to avoid laziness. Don't stick on more solid foods. Better you can try to take healthy items like dates daily. It will help to overcome tiredness. Then fresh juices and other natural foods preferably.

I know where you are coming from! I get cravings for sweets when I try to eat more healthy.

It is suggested that you eat 5-6 smaller meals a day so that you stay full. This might stop the cravings for sweets.
If not, just make sure to limit yourself.

I find if I deny myself the good stuff, I eat more of it when I do get it.

Default Just an Idea!

I don't think it is practical to think you can stick to a healthy eating plan perfectly.

What works for me is this:-

I don't need to lose weight either but I don't want to be full of junk because I think if you want to be healthy you need to work with it.

But I occasionally enjoy some chocolate or ice cream etc.

If I put something on the forbidden list - I battle too hard and then give up the idea.

When I allow myself a few treats on the weekend - I tend to be able to say no to the junk food cravings because I know that on the weekend I will enjoy a few little guilt free rewards.

I love WEEKENDS

I think eating healthy starts with drinking plenty of water. It helps you feel full. I really like sweets, but I find that I tend to eat more sweets when I didn't get enough to eat during dinner. I can usually avoid my sugar cravings when I eat fruit that has its own natural sugars.

you need discipline to control your cravings. You have to tell your friends that you are on a diet so they will stop teasing you. Even better if you include your friends in your diet. To avoid sweets, eat plenty of fruits with natural sugars and plenty of liquid. This will make you think you are full.

Avoid eating too much before sleeping and or take off the midnight snack.

I think everybody needs to design their own diet plan.We all have our food weaknesses, for instance I can never give up on pastas and pizzas even though I know they are full of two ingredients that are devilish to have in your diet plan- cheese and white flour but i can't help it :P So i try to incorporate healthy food as and when its possible. I try to have vegetable oatmeal for breakfast accompanied by my favourite fruit juice- could be either SIL's mango flavour or mixed fruit flavour. I try and have whole wheat bread but to brighten in up lookwise and tastewise I have it Wakee Orange marmalade. I have salad when I want to watch tv and just munch something
