I have recently tried a diet where I avoid eating any sweets and putting any sugar in my tea and where I attempt to stay clear of any unnatural sugar in general; it seems to be working as I have lost a lot of weight. I am wondering, if has anyone else tried this diet with success, and does anyone know what the long-term reprecussions are (as this was a spontaneous idea and I had not put much research into its health effects)?

I'm sure it's fine. My grandma only had artificial sugar and lived to be 84 |

Not taking sugar at all is not very healthy.. Healthy Lifestyle and exercising is the mantra for longer life expectancy.. |

| Yes, I agree. Being healthy is taking foods in moderation. Our body needs sugar too. Though you can have sugars by eating sweet fruits.

I try to keep my sugar intake down, but I would not go completely without it. Natural sugar found in fruit, like apples, is fine. I do like putting sugar in my tea - that's a big culprit right there. |
