Carbohydrates: We all get enough of them from our diet-chapattis, rice, bread, paranthas,etc.
Proteins: The average protein intake, too, has been found to be near adequate among adult city dwellers. Some types of dal or beans (rajma, chana, chauli) besides milk and milk products are usually included, and non-vegetarians include eggs, meat and fish in their diet.
Fats: We eat too much of unwanted fats in the form of commercially available fried items, ice-creams, excess cheese, excess butter, meat etc. We do not eat enough of the fats we should eat, such as nuts and seeds.
