Default Food Intolerances

How does someone know if they are allergic to a specific type of food, like fibre or dairy products. Are the symptoms obvious at all?

I don't have any food allergies, but from what I know, yes, the symptoms are very obvious, and sometimes rather severe. They range from rash to swollen tongue / difficulty breathing.

I have no food allergies as of now. I don't know whether I have one or not. But I sure hope none in all foods that I'm going to eat in the future. It's not good to have food allergies at all.

I don't have any food allergies, either, but there are certain foods that I exclude from my diet for health reasons. Food like port give me a headache if I smell it when it's cooking. Since giving up red meat, the smell of beef has made me feel a little queasy.

what about other kinds of wines? Is it just port that gives you
headaches and not chardonay or zinfandel?

There are many symptoms to allergies; however, they are all different from one to another. Some of them are nausea, fever, redness of skin. If allergy is suspected, it is advisable to see your general practitioner to get an allergy test as some of them could be fatal.

Yeah I've seen some cases it can really make you go to the hospital for just eating something that you're allergic of. I can't help imagining my step sister who was allergic to shrimp then ate one accidentally in a meal. My hubby said her face looked like a balloon. O.O

That must have been really frightening for your sister reira, but it seems you are only made aware of such allergies once you have such a bad reaction.

Sorry, I meant "pork" instead of "port." Back when I bought a lot of carbonated drinks, I had terrible gas issues, and it made me uncomfortable because I would start feeling gassy in class.
