Why is it that weight is so easy to gain for most people, yet so excruciatingly painful to get rid of? If only it were as easy to lose as it was to gain. The difficulty in weight loss alone scares so many people away from exercise toward quick fix solutions.

It is easy to gain weight because it is easy to have an extra bite of food here and there without even noticing. As to losing weight, you have to make a conscious effort to avoid certain foods and/or eat less. Of course it seems harder since it takes work! |

It is also easy to over indulge on special occasions. I always end up gaining weight when on vacation! I eat more and never exercise when on vacation. It takes work and commitment to loose the weight. It takes nothing but enjoying those extra sweets to gain the weight.

Gaining weight is not easy for everyone. For people who are very thin and have a high metabolism, it can be almost impossible to gain weight no matter how much they eat.

If only most people had a high metabolism, but then, we'd just use that as another excuse to eat more food, wouldn't we? Eating is also tied to so many occasions and so many moods while exercise is just tied to one purpose--to lose weight.

Ahh isn't this always the case! Sometimes there are many factor involved when there is sudden weight gain like too much junk food, no exercise at all, over eating and so on. And its the small things like this that we all miss out on that can make our weight go up until we notice our clothes have gone tight. Its easily done by anyone! But then the key is too work it off with exercise and control of food in take....not the easiest of tasks!! |
