Majority of the women throughout the world wish to have a flat stomach and a trim body structure. But very few of them take this wish seriously and work towards it. It is not about succeeding in becoming thin but the discussion is about the efforts that are taken to attain that goal. Most of us just think and leave the thought alone to rest. They read different articles and information about dieting, fitness and weight loss. They have them well equipped with knowledge about various weight loss plans. They also understand that it is dieting that would truly help in reducing weight. Many of us do not proceed further this step as we very well know how difficult would forth coming steps be. Though we are concerned about fitness and weight loss, we are not yet ready to give up any meal or our favorite dish. Even if we manage to control ourselves, we hardly stick to the new diet for one or two days and nothing more than that. We actually get a craving for food and start eating more than before. We tend to eat more and obviously increase calories and increase our waistline. Yes, this is something common day happens every women’s life and a desire to become lean remains a dream. One of the reasons for this is the hunger factor women have. Until marriage or till child birth, they seem to be alright both in fitness and in having control over their food pattern but later what happens it they get used to eating more during pregnancy and childbirth. As this process continues to take place for more than a year and by the time, we are normal we get used to the new food habits and find it difficult to stop eating. We also feel hungry often due to the hold chores we have the recent biological changes that has happened in the body. Though it would not be possible to change problems like these in a moment, it can slowly be solved. Women generally have a good will power. This positive factor of ours can be taken as an advantage and used to reduce the extra folds in our hips and thighs. Start with some basic dieting program that would not be very different from the usual food pattern you have. This can slowly be improvised for better results. In simple, be practical and set some realistic goals. Do not wish to reduce four to five kilograms in a week; rather wish for something less that is more practical and achievable. Once you attain the first goal, you would get some extra confidence that would boost you to go further. One more important factor that reduces the motivation in women to reduce weight is the comments passed by her own family members. Many women are teased by their husband and kids when they are dieting. This unconsciously breaks down their enthusiasm though the family members really do not intend it. So the best way to go about it would be to ignore all the unwanted comments and just stick to your actual plan of loosing weight in a workable manner though it might be slow. |

Yeah! Sim, you are absolutely correct in what you have mentioned, once you wanna do anything, until and unless you stick on to it in any matter, you will not succeed in your life, not only in loosing weight but also in other matters too, then only you'll reach on to your goal if any. I'm young in age < 30, but appears as if i'm > 30, why because after delivery i got thyroiditis where i increased to 90kg from 60kg within 2months without my knowledge( not eating excess, doing my own work after delivery). I was so cautious of reducing my weight, got checked for thyroiditis started treatment, did dieting( balanced & advised diet), now i'm 65kg, can you imagine? that is reason why i agree with your forum that once you have a goal in your mind, you have to try hard until you succeed. |

We are definitely a society of people looking for a quick and easy solution. Quick and easy don't really go together where weight loss is concerned. I don't get involved with the newest diet to lose the most weight because they're all just fads. I want to lose weight and keep it off for life, so I'll work toward the long-term solution.

| I agree with Hirami.. we've grown up here with everything being so fast paced, and expecting instant results. I think we forget that when it comes to our bodies, all the technologies we have can't help us too much in losing weight. Wish we could though!!
