Default Chocolate cake

Do you like chocolate cake? I used to buy the mix and bake one pretty often, making my own special frosting that goes in between two layers and on top. It is not so good for the figure though.

Oh I love chocolate cakes especially the moist ones with bits of chocolate in it...heaven! I like chocolate too, dark chocolates in particular. And yes you can benefit from chocolates. There are proven studies that it increases the antioxidant level in the blood.

Yes, dark chocolate is good for you (in moderation, of course!), but I am not so sure about chocolate cake, LOL. All those calories... I think it is best to think or it as an occasional treat.

Dark chocolate cake is my all time favorite. When I was young, my mother loved to bake it. For me, my mom is the best and she has a secret ingredient when she bakes a cake. So I guess, aside from the calories added to my body, I remembered my childhood life as well. How about you, what do you remember when you eat a cake?

I have some warm childhood memories as well. My mom used to make this delicious, moist chocolate cake that never lasted long in out home. She made it from scratch, I still have the recipe somewhere, but unfortunately one of the ingredients is not available here where I live.

My son and I love chocolate cakes and I always buy some since I don't bake. We never grow tired of chocolate cakes especially the moist ones with marsmallows and nuts. Yummy! and nutritious too, although its bad for the teeth. Have to drink plenty of water after eating them.

I love chocolate cake as well, but it always makes me extremely thirsty...my favorite cake is almond cake actually - I just love the texture and the nutty taste of it and can never get enough. Though, it is a little bit more time consuming to get the right texture, whereas you can never really go wrong with the chocolate cake.

This helps me remembered my younger days with this chocolate cake. Well, this was one of our special desserts that our family should never missed ever.
It was Christmas eve, when we went to our grandmas house, all the foods were there, guess what missing? It was the chocolate cake, my cousins seems lost the appetite to ate, grandma told us that Santa will drop to her house later to drop our cake. All of us started to ate, halfway of eating my santa came in. Were really happy that time because we saw santa. We thought it was a real santa, we only realized that in this later years. LOL! Guess who was the santa?

Yes, I do like to eat chocolate cake. One of my favorite foods. What could be some of the alternative ingredients for chocolate cake? Could we replace butter with olive oil?
